In February I took over from Jef as coordinator of Liberation Films. Jef has been the figurehead and face of this non-profit organization for years. Following in his footsteps was not going to be an easy task. And then came the pandemic. More than 350 film screenings in Flanders were canceled. 350 missed opportunities to enjoy a movie and soak up culture. 350 missed opportunities to learn and discover the world. 350 missed opportunities to be together.

That is precisely why we persevere. We brought the story of the unaccompanied minor refugee Sahil with 'Asile' (Victor Ridley), looked at the Palestinian issue with 'Le Char et l'Olivier' (Roland Nurier) and paid tribute to Augusta Chiwy with 'The Forgotten Angel Of Bastogne '(Martin King).

We also continue to expand our rights list and library. You can always contact us for new releases such as "Queen & Slim" and for classics such as "Casablanca" on blu-ray.
